Payments with Mercado Pago
Connect the business's Mercado Pago account, see which payment methods are available and set each service's deposit.
Updated:
Payments are set up in Settings → Payments. Only the owner and the manager see this tab; the rest of the team does not.
Connect the account
- Brazil and Argentina: tap Connect Mercado Pago and authorize Fiuit in Mercado Pago. You come back to the tab with the account connected.
- Other supported countries (Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico and Peru): when enabled, you paste the account token and Fiuit validates it. Fiuit never shows the token.
- Paraguay and currencies without Mercado Pago do not have this option: payments are recorded by hand.
The tab shows the connection status, the account number, country, currency, whether it is a test or production account and when the authorization expires. If it expires or fails, Reauthorize appears: you reauthorize without disconnecting and without losing payments.
Disconnect asks for confirmation. Before cancelling open payments, Fiuit checks their status in Mercado Pago, and keeps the encrypted credential for 30 days to reconcile late payments.
Country and currency
The account must collect in the same country and currency as the project. If they do not match (for example, the project uses reais and the account is from Argentina), the tab explains it and Fiuit does not create payment links: payments stay manual until you connect the right account or fix the currency in Settings → Business.
Payment methods
Methods are not switched on by hand: they follow the account. Each one says whether it is available or what is missing.
- Payment link: with a production account from Brazil or Argentina connected. In Brazil the customer can pay with Pix inside the same link.
- A test account does not charge real customers.
- In-store QR and card in the panel are not available yet.
Deposit
The deposit is set per service and edited in the tab's Deposit section: amount and, optionally, Refund the deposit when cancelled in advance (between 1 and 2160 hours).
- When a customer books a service with a deposit, the slot is held for a few minutes while they pay. The link expires a bit earlier so Fiuit can confirm the payment; if they do not pay in time, the slot is released.
- By default the deposit is kept when the customer cancels. With the refund on, Fiuit asks Mercado Pago for the refund when the customer cancels at least that many hours ahead.
- Without a connected account, the deposit is marked as paid by hand on the task.
Charge with link
In the Payment section of a task with a balance you see Charge with link; also on a conversation’s linked tasks, in the Inbox.
- Send in the conversation: Fiuit creates a Mercado Pago link for what is left to pay and sends it to the customer in their conversation (WhatsApp, web chat or Telegram), with a fixed message that includes the amount and the expiry.
- Copy link: copies it so you can share it another way.
- Fiuit calculates the amount (the task balance: price minus what was already collected, deposit included). To charge a different amount, adjust the amount due first.
- An open link for the same amount is reused: no second link is created for the same thing. With an open link for another amount, wait for it to expire or record the payment by hand.
- The link expires after 48 hours. The task history shows whether it is pending, paid or expired, and you can copy or resend it. When the customer pays, the payment shows up automatically and the balance goes down.
- The owner and the manager use it; the team too, on their own tasks, when The courier can collect payments is on. It only shows with a production account from Brazil or Argentina connected.
Latest payments
The list shows the latest Mercado Pago payments (deposit, amount, status and date), newest first. Tap Open to see the task: refunds and reviews are done from there. Without an account or payments, the list does not appear.
With Wagy, the API and MCP
Wagy can tell you the account status, which methods are available and why, and the latest payments; it does not connect accounts or ask for tokens. Through the API and MCP, a key with the payments:read permission reads the same (GET /v1/payments/accounts/mercadopago and GET /v1/payments/accounts/mercadopago/charges).
