Import and export products as CSV
Update the catalog with a row preview and explicit confirmation.
CSV catalog
- In Catalog → Products, owners and managers can export CSV, download a template and import.
- Review each row: create, update, keep unchanged or fix errors. Nothing changes before confirmation; if the catalog changes, generate a new preview.
- Amounts follow the same rule as the product form: PYG/CLP «15.000» = 15000, without decimals; BRL/COP «1,500» is ambiguous and rejected. Write «1500» or «1500,00».
- UTF-8 decoding is strict; Excel Windows-1252 files require explicitly choosing that encoding.
- Missing products are not deleted and blank active does not reactivate archived products. Limits: 1 MiB, 2000 rows, 30 minute preview. Confirmed results remain available for 7 days.
- Exports protect formulas with an apostrophe, recognized when importing again. API and MCP require products:write, including exports. Wagy explains the flow and directs file uploads to the panel.
- Payments and cash use the same amount rule: «12,345» in BRL is rejected; write «12345» or «12345,00».
Export uses a decimal point (1.50); files accept comma or semicolon delimiters, not TSV. A price of 0 is valid: a free product.
