The service price, under your control
Choose whether the service price is added to the form total, replaces it, or is the only amount; the task shows the breakdown.
Until now, when a service had a price and its form calculated a total, the total overrode the price: a visit, delivery or opening charge was left out of what you collect. Now you decide, service by service.
What changes
- «The service price is…» in the service editor (shown when the service has a price and a calculated total): «Reference only: the form total replaces it» (as today), «A base charge added to the form total» or «The amount to collect: form fields do not add up».
- Preview: when you test the calculation you see «Base charge + form = total», calculated by the server.
- In the task's «Payment» section you get the «Base charge + from the form = to collect» breakdown when the service adds a base charge.
- In formulas you can use the service price as
base_price.
What does not change
- All your services keep collecting exactly the same: the option starts on «Reference only». Changing it only affects new tasks; anything that already has an amount to collect is left alone.
