Chat requests without a time, and a notice when they get one
Your customers can request a service such as a delivery on WhatsApp, Telegram or the website chat without picking a time; you assign it later and they get a notice.
Until now the bot could only book by time slot, so a customer could not request a delivery by chat. Now they can, and they find out when the request has a time.
What changes
- Request without a time: every service has a new option, "Customers can request it by chat, without choosing a time" (off by default; the dispatch delivery service in the Deliveries blueprint ships with it on). The customer writes "I need a delivery", the bot asks for what is missing one thing at a time, shows a summary and waits for YES or NO. The request is only created after the YES.
- Acknowledgement to the customer: they get a tracking number and "we'll let you know when we have a time". The bot never promises a time or a specific person.
- In the panel: the request shows up in "Unassigned" (or "To schedule" if the service is scheduled) and the task shows "Chat request" on its card and in its origin. You can reply from the conversation.
- "Time assigned" notice: when you give a time to a request that had none, the customer gets a notice once, with the day and time and in their language. If you fix the time right away, they only get the final one. You turn it on or off in Settings → Customer notices, and it uses the project's active rescheduling rule.
- Limits: each customer can have up to 5 open chat requests at a time, and an identical request that is still open is not duplicated. If the service needs the customer's location and they have none saved yet, the bot asks for it before creating anything.
